A Brunch for Senior & Veterans
Black Women Connexting Communites has partnered up again with A Basket of Cheer Project & our community partners to provide brunch to seniors & veterans in the DMV!
WHEN: October 7, 2023 from 11am-3pm
WHERE: Cheval Court residences in Forestville, MD
WHY: This event will support the seniors by:
✔️ showing them that we care
✔️ having meaningful conversations
✔️ sharing resourceful information
✔️ celebrating them & giving them their flowers now
RESOURCES: Donations needed include:
🖤 2 performers are needed (singer, DJ or comedian, poet)
🖤 2 guest speakers are needed
🖤 3 chefs/cooks are needed
🖤 food donations are needed
🖤 flower donations are needed (real & fake)
🖤 goodie bag donations are needed
🖤 10 event day volunteers (adults & youth)
